Putting a Premium on Authenticity
In my time as a realtor I have learned a lot, but one thing that has become very apparent to me is that clients, whether they are buyers or sellers, want to work with someone that they have a personal connection with.
Anyone who knows me is aware that I am a straight shooter and very forthcoming. I pride myself on being a professional and fulfilling my fiduciary duty of putting my clients’ needs above my own is a hallmark of my real estate business. As I say to many prospective clients, if there is not a connection and you would feel more comfortable working with another realtor then by all means hire that realtor with whom you feel most comfortable.
I am not a ‘yes man’ who is going to agree with my clients all the time. As a matter of fact, I always tell clients upfront that we WILL disagree at times. That is just the nature of the business. But at the end of the day, I feel I wouldn’t be serving their best interests if I just told my clients what they want to hear. But if they want to work with someone who is going to tell it like it is and who is not afraid to have the tough conversations that typically need to be had during the course of a transaction, then I am quite certain that I am the realtor best suited to represent you. I am VERY confident in my ability to provide value to my clients.
I try to make clear to all potential clients that final decisions regarding the purchase or sale of a home are theirs to make, but I feel an obligation to be forthcoming and honest with them about all aspects of the buying/selling process. Sometimes that means disagreeing with them, but again, they are the buyer or seller so the final decision is always theirs.
Experience has taught me that I am not the agent for everyone. That is ok. But I do know that there are enough people out there who I can make a connection with who truly need my help and can benefit from my knowledge and experience as a realtor and I have every confidence in the world that I can provide tremendous value to those people, whether they are buying or selling.
